उन्होंने राज्य से कांग्रेस सरकार को उखाड़ फेंकने के लिए जनता से समर्थन भी मांगा. मंडी में एक जनसभा को संबोधित करते हुए बीजेपी उम्मीदवार कंगना रनौत ने कहा, “एक बिगड़ैल दिल्ली में रहता है और दूसरा यहां हिमाचल में बैठा है… हमें चोरों की इस सरकार को उखाड़ फेंकना है. हमें 1 जून का मौका मिला है और हमें इस मौके को हाथ से नहीं जाने देना चाहिए. कहा जाता है कि अगर किसी के चरित्र का आकलन करना है तो उसे सत्ता दे दो और सुखविंदर सिंह सुखू को देखो कि वह क्या बन गया… उनकी भाषा देखो. एक लड़की का एक ‘पहाड़ी’ थप्पड़ उन्हें सब कुछ भूला देगा.”
She also sought support from the people to oust the Congress government from the state. Addressing a public meeting in Mandi, BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut said, “One spoilt brat lives in Delhi and the other is sitting here in Himachal… We have to oust this government of thieves. We have got the opportunity of June 1 and we should not let go of this opportunity. It is said that if you want to judge someone’s character, give him power and look at Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, what he has become… look at his language. One ‘pahaadi’ slap from a girl will make him forget everything.”
