केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने पड़ोसी मुल्क बांग्लादेश में डेंगू के मामलों में अचानक वृद्धि के बाद पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार को पत्र लिखकर बीमारी के प्रकोप की आशंका को लेकर आगाह किया था। बनर्जी ने अपने अधिकारियों को कोरोना वायरस प्रकोप के बीच डेंगू से निपटने के प्रयासों को नहीं भूलने को लेकर चेताया है।

एक अन्य ट्वीट में उन्होंने उत्तर प्रदेश के औरैया जिले में हुए भीषण सड़क हादसे में 24 मजदूरों की मौत और 36 अन्य के घायल होने पर शोक प्रकट किया। बनर्जी ने ट्वीट किया, “उत्तर प्रदेश के औरैया में त्रासद सड़क हादसे के बारे में सुनकर अत्यंत दुखी हूं। मेरी संवेदनाएं मजदूर भाई-बहनों के परिवार के प्रति हैं। ईश्वर उनकी आत्मा को शांति दे। घायलों के जल्द स्वस्थ होने की कामना करती हूं।”
