At the end of trading, the Sensex closed at 80,039, down 109 points or 0.14 per cent, and the Nifty closed at 24,406, down marginally by 7.40 points. Banking stocks saw the biggest decline in the market. Nifty Bank closed at 50,888, down 428 points or 0.83 per cent.
