केंद्र में नई सरकार के गठन के बाद मौजूदा सरकार के कार्यकाल में 22 जून 2024 को पहली जीएसटी काउंसिल की बैठक बुलाई गई है. वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण की अध्यक्षता में जीएसटी काउंसिल की ये 53वीं बैठक होगी जो नई दिल्ली में आयोजित की जाएगी. नए वित्त वर्ष 2024-25 के पहले दो महीने अप्रैल और मई में जीएसटी कलेक्शन में जोरदार उछाल देखने को मिला है.
