ईवीएम यानी इलेक्ट्रॉनिक वोटिंग मशीन के जरिए डाले गए वोटों के साथ वोटर वेरिफिएबल पेपर ऑडिट ट्रेल (VVPAT) पर्चियों का मिलान वाली याचिका पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट आज यानी शुक्रवार को अपना फैसला सुनाएगा. लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए दूसरे चरण की वोटिंग जारी है और इसी बीच आज ही सुप्रीम कोर्ट अपने फैसले से यह तय कर देगा कि क्या चार जून को जब लोकसभा चुनाव की गिनती होगी तो उस दौरान ईवीएम के वोटों से वीवीपैट की पर्चियों का मिलान होगा या नहीं.
The Supreme Court will give its verdict today i.e. on Friday on the petition regarding matching of Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) slips with the votes cast through EVM i.e. Electronic Voting Machine. Voting for the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections is going on and in the meantime today the Supreme Court will decide with its decision whether the VVPAT slips will be matched with the EVM votes when the Lok Sabha elections are counted on June 4 or not.
