वोट के बदले नोट मामले में सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने बड़ा फैसला दिया है. सोमवार (4 मार्च, 2024) को टॉप कोर्ट ने साल 1998 का फैसला पलटते हुए कहा कि सांसद और विधायकों को छूट नहीं दी जा सकती है. यह विशेषाधिकार के तहत नहीं आता है. इस बात से फर्क नहीं पड़ता कि घूस लेने वाले ने घूस देने वाले के मुताबिक वोट दिया या नहीं.
Supreme Court has given a big decision in the note-for-vote case. On Monday (March 4, 2024), the Top Court overturned the 1998 decision and said that MPs and MLAs cannot be exempted. This does not come under privilege. It does not matter whether the bribe taker voted in accordance with the bribe giver or not.

लोकसभा चुनाव से पहले, छत्तीसगढ़ बीजेपी प्रमुख किरण सिंह देव ने बीजेपी की जीत पर भरोसा जताया और कहा कि पार्टी का लक्ष्य आम चुनाव में सभी 11 लोकसभा सीटें जीतना है। “हमारी तैयारी (लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए) पहले से ही चल रही है। उन्होंने कहा, ”भाजपा कार्यकर्ता इस पर काम कर रहे हैं…यह हमारे काम करने का तरीका है…हमारा लक्ष्य छत्तीसगढ़ की सभी 11 सीटें जीतना है।”
